EPA’s Risk Management Plan Rule (RMP) requires the evaluation of the potential public impact of an accidental release of acutely toxic, flammable, and/or explosive materials from industrial facilities. Subject facilities must evaluate and create a plan, maintain it, and renew plans every five years.
